6 reasons why you should take good care of your parents

Parents are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth–  Kahlil Gibran

There are moments in life when parents need you – both physically and emotionally.  Work often takes us miles away – often for months or years.  While technology helps us to communicate, they need support, and often don’t ask for it.

We should realise these moments and be fulfilled to serve them.

And, why not?

Life-giver

They are the ones who brought you in this world. You might feel indebted to so many people – family and friends -who keep you happy, but you can never deny that you breathe and live because they brought you in this world.

Teacher

They taught us how to walk, stand, sleep, wash, talk, hug and care. From the values we learnt as a child, to the manners we imbibe they are our first teachers. They taught us what life is, how hard it is and made it easy for us to strive and thrive. If you think you did it all ,do remember your first walk, the first fall , and the first rejection.

Omni-present

They have been there through the first fights, the first crush and the first glory. Their selflessness helped us understand the values, the importance of all the emotions of life .

They act as your support staff, they have been there and will always be to help you give the best directions and support for our physical and emotional balance.

Blessings

The love has the strength to help shrug off an ominous catastrophe, and heal pains.Their prayers turn into strong blessings that keeps us happily grounded. Their blessings are unconditional , unflinching and genuinely pure.

Experience

Their experience is vital for our sustenance and growth.  They provide the extra bit of knowledge, facts and instructions to make our life easy and successful.

Sacrifice

Your mom gave up her sleep to get you ready for school. They went to work and came home tired but cheerful, so that you did your homework well. Your dad spent sleepless nights so that he could bring you the gift you craved for, more than to fulfill his own wants.

Remember the time your mother woke up nights beside you because you had high fever, it isn’t because she owed it to you. it is because she cared for you. As we grow up there comes a time when our parents aren’t as active as they were, they cannot give their fullest as they once used to, that’s when our time to return the care is so vital to secure a happy living for them.

Your support is more precious to them than your money, they will love it if you spend some time with them rather than spend all your time earning money.
